If your toilet won't flush...

There may be a clog in your pipes that is preventing the toilet from flushing. To dislodge a clog, use a household plunger to create suction over the toilet drain. With some elbow grease, you should have the clog resolved in no time.

Sink and Shower Drains

If your sink or shower isn't draining properly, there may be a clog in your pipes. You may need to use a hand auger to remove debris from the pipes. Please be sure not to use drain cleaning chemicals, as these could cause damage to the plumbing system.

If you lose electrical power...

First, call your utility provider to troubleshoot the issue. There may be billing problems on your account, or local outages may be to blame.

After speaking with the electric company, should you need further assistance, give us a call and we'll be happy to help.

If you don't have enough hot water in your rental home, locate the water heater and check that all settings on the tank are accurate. Is the heater in vacation mode? If it's a gas-powered tank, is the pilot light lit?

If you make any changes to the settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature again. This gives the heater time to work.

If your HVAC system isn't working, check the central thermostat in your rental home. Verify that the system is on and that all settings are accurate.

You may be able to turn the system off and back on again to restore system defaults.
